3/12/08 – Houston, TX. Response Management Associates, Inc. (RMA), a subsidiary of The O’Brien’s Group (TOG) has been awarded a $300k+ contract to develop a Canadian-US compliant Oil Spill Emergency Response Plan for TransCanada’s Keystone Oil Pipeline Project. The 2,148-mile Keystone Pipeline transports crude oil from Hardisty, Alberta to U.S. Midwest markets at Wood River and Patoka, Illinois and to Cushing, Oklahoma. 10/4/2007 – Texas City, TX; Response Management Associates, Inc. (RMA) conducted an Area Security Tabletop Exercise for the Port of Texas City on October 4, 2007.  The event was held at the Doyle Convention Center in Texas City and was sponsored by BP Texas City Refinery.  The exercise included several MTSA-regulated facilities as well as non-regulated facilities located inside the Port of Texas City.  Representatives from several jurisdictional agencies and law enforcement also participated in the exercise including the U.S. Coast Guard, the FBI, Texas City Police Department, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, and other government agencies. 

Participants were able to practice a coordinated response effort.  Everyone gained additional knowledge of the Incident Command System, Unified Command, and the local area’s emergency response plans.  The event gave the players an opportunity to work and network with facilities, companies and agencies that would be affected by a real security incident in the port.  RMA was privileged to be involved with the exercise.  The day was a great success and everyone in attendance will benefit from their participation.   

9/7/2007 – The O’BRIEN’S Group, RMA’s parent company, announced today the acquisition of Solid Resources, Inc. (SRI), a privately held debris management and emergency assistance consulting firm based in Sarasota, Florida.  SRI will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary of The O’BRIEN’S Group in parallel with its other subsidiaries, O’Brien Oil Pollution Service, Inc. and Response Management Associates, Inc.

SRI is a highly specialized professional consulting firm providing disaster debris management and removal monitoring services combined with emergency assistance after a natural disaster, such as a hurricane.  SRI will be a good strategic fit to The O’Brien’s Group by diversifying our client base further into the government sector, providing us a significance presence in the Southeast and adding a new range of products and services to our emergency management portfolio.

10/3/06 – Houston, TX, Response Management Associates, Inc. (RMA), a privately held environmental consulting firm in Houston, Texas announced today their acquisition by The O’BRIEN’S Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of SEACOR Holdings Inc. (NYSE: CKH). RMA will continue to operate as an independent subsidiary of The O’BRIEN’S Group in parallel with its other subsidiary, O’Brien Oil Pollution Service, Inc.
