Environmental Project Manager

We are a leading domestic and international emergency management firm seeking a qualified professional to join our Houston, Texas team.  We currently have an opening for an Environmental Compliance Manager.  The successful candidate will be a senior member of our consulting staff. Candidate must be willing to occasionally travel on short notice both domestically and internationally.

 

Duties include:

  • Provide expertise to client companies in all areas of environmental compliance.    
  • Travel to client sites for on-site consulting, auditing, and / or information gathering.    
  • Serve as a member of our emergency response team for client oil spills, natural disasters, and other emergencies.  

 

Candidate must have:

  • In-depth knowledge of OPA, SPCC, DOT, and DHS
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experienced in prioritizing multiple tasks and the ability to efficiently plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities.
  • B.S. degree in Engineering or Science

 

Skilled in the following a plus:

  • PREP and NIMS Incident Command System
  • EH&S Compliance Auditing
  • RCRA
  • Stormwater permitting and planning
  • Air emissions inventories and permitting



 

Information Technology Coordinator

We are a leading domestic and international emergency management firm seeking a qualified professional to join our Houston, Texas team.  We currently have an opening for a Technical Coordinator/Information Technology professional.  The successful candidate will provide technical and analytical support services to our consulting and emergency response management organizations.

Candidate must be willing to occasionally travel on short notice both domestically and internationally.

Additional duties will include:

1)    Assist with the operation, design and development of company software systems.

2)   Respond to client emergencies with the ability to serve as a software operator or information management specialist.

3)   Assist with the design and development of corporate web sites and services.

4)   Assist with developing new marketable emergency response technologies and services.

5)   Assist with the design and development of corporate marketing materials.

6)   Interface with the corporate Information Technology department to facilitate cell phone plan management, computer hardware support, and maintaining technology equipment inventories.

Candidate must have:

In-depth knowledge of Windows operating system - Windows XP.

Software design/development experience.

Strong facilitation & presentation skills; ability to motivate others, answer questions accurately, and present information clearly.

Experienced in prioritizing multiple tasks and the ability to efficiently plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.  Combination of education and experience is acceptable.

GIS Specialist

We are a leading domestic and international emergency management firm seeking a qualified professional to join our Houston, Texas team.  We currently have an opening for a GIS Specialist.  The successful candidate will design, develop, and implement all GIS analysis, mapping and application development in support of our consulting and emergency response management organizations.

Resposibilities

Design, develop, implement and manage GIS analysis, mapping and application development.    

Assist in the management, development and organization of company-wide GIS data sets.

Qualifications

  • Three years experience desired with ESRI suite of software; including ArcGIS 9.2, ArcIMS, ArcGIS Server and the ArcObjects development platform.
  • Knowledge of RDBM software such as MS Access, SQL Server and/or Oracle desirable.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees, consultants, and clients
 

Compliance Engineer

We are a leading domestic and international emergency management firm seeking a qualified professional to join our Houston, Texas team.  We are seeking a civil, mechanical, or environmental engineer to manage environmental projects and to serve as the primary engineering lead for designing and consulting of drainage and pollution control systems.  The successful candidate will be groomed to quickly become a long term member of our consulting staff and leadership team.

Candidate must be willing to occasionally travel on short notice both domestically and internationally.

Duties include:

  1. Provide expertise to client companies in all areas of environmental compliance with specific emphasis to SPCC.
  2. Complies with federal, state, and local environmental regulations by preparing compliance plans and permits; studying existing and new legislation; and; building / maintaining rapport with regulatory agencies.
  3. Travel to client sites for on-site consulting and / or information gathering.
  4. Serve as a company interface on engineering projects including design and installation projects, project management
  5. Serve as a member of our emergency response team for client oil spills, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

Candidate must have:

  1. An understanding of oil and gas operations, mapping, surveying, civil design drawings, construction techniques, and project estimating.
  2. Working knowledge of common engineering standards and codes.
  3. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  4. Experienced in prioritizing multiple tasks and the ability to efficiently plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities.
  5. PE licensed or EIT

Skilled in the following a plus:

  1. Environmental regulations including SPCC planning, OPA planning, storm water permitting and planning, air emissions and permitting, and RCRA
